Next stop: Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Titiwangsa is a recreational park where people usually hang-out in weekends. It has a lot of "divisions" where you can stay. There's this gymnasium, open field, a good scenery, an area where one can perform, but the most attractive spot I may say, is where Remote Control cars are being played. Anyone can play in this open field; they can simply bring their RCs then roll it (!). You might be think that those RCs are simply the ones bought for little boys - for their birthdays, christmas, and other special occassion - with double A battery. No, it is not. Most of the time, these RCs has somewhat fuel - as they say - to "move" and work. Oh however, there are battery operated as well, but the batteries used are the biggest ones.
From a far, these cars look tiny, like as if it is just the normal remote control car. But when you come near to it, its length is around 2.5 12 inch ruler.
Interesting isn't? There are more reasons which makes it interesting, even the way you open it's engine and put the fuel is... interesting. You don't simply turn it one with some button - just as the normal RC car goes - but it has this string that you need to pull until the engine starts screaming. And the excitement does not end there, they set it up, buy different parts for it, put different stickers they want all over it, get the best tires, best oils/fluid, etc.
I'm just not sure though, if they hold competitions for this.*
As you see, these are toys for big boys. The ones playing this are mostly fathers, yuppies, etc. in their free day - which is often Sunday. They do not compete, they play it for fun. :)
